Free With Nature

If You Forget Me by Pablo Neruda

I want you to know
one thing.

You know how this is:
if I look
at crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window

if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that with for me.
Well, now,

if little by little you stop loving me

I shall stop loving you little by little.

 If suddenly
you forget me
do not look for me
for I shall already have forgotten you.

If you think it long and mad,
the wind of banners
that passes through my life,
and you decide
to leave me at shore
of the heart where I have roots,
remember
that on that day,
at that hour,
 I shall lift my arms
and my roots will set off
to seek another land.
But
if each day,
each hour
you feel that you are destined for me
with implacable sweetness,
climbs up to your lips to seek me,
ah my love, ah my own,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
without leaving mine.

This is one of my favourite poems by Pablo Neruda. His poems are so touching, sad, controversial, brave and erotic. I always want to read his poems when I engage with nature. The feelings I draw from it is a strong sense of peace, sentimentality, hurt, and happiness - they all become one and I just want to express all the feelings through poems or songs. Nature is free and I'm free with nature.

Joffre Gorge,12 June 2015, "I'm free with nature"

Here I was, standing above remote gorge, day 3 of my holiday in Australia, doing an implied nude shoot for the first time. Wow, I felt so free. The isolation, no people around, the sun setting, standing near a huge drop to the deep gorge behind me. This is Joffre Gorge, right behind the Karijini Eco resort. The Australian outback is stunning. Some of the oldest rocks in the world can be found here, and aboriginals have lived in the area for perhaps thousands of years. Do yourself a favor and visit Karijini at least once in your life-because LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.
